ExMAL Materials Development

ExOne’s Materials Applications Laboratory (ExMAL) directs the development of the 3D printing process and material systems to facilitate customer implementation of 3D printing solutions. ExMAL is equipped with a talented core staff with collaborative access to additional researchers and chemists. Current focus areas include:

  • Expand materials for 3D printing
  • Achieve machine performance improvements
  • Build a network of ExTEC affiliates to promote additive manufacturing concepts and applications
  • Explore new applications for 3D printing
  • Characterize material systems
  • Extend ExOne’s global network of Production Service Centers

Our process can be customized to suit your needs through binder modification, printing material, infiltration material and thermal processing.
